Bio

Short: Thanh Tung Vu is a Lecturer in Computer Networking at Western Sydney University and an ARC DECRA Fellow. His research builds energy-efficient, scalable wireless networks that AI can rely on, for 6G and beyond, combining model-based optimisation with machine learning.

Long: Thanh Tung Vu is a Lecturer in Computer Networking in the School of Computer, Data and Mathematical Sciences at Western Sydney University and an ARC DECRA Fellow (2026-2029). His research builds the wireless networks that let AI act in the physical world, from cell-free massive MIMO and millimetre-wave networks to wireless federated learning. Before joining Western Sydney University, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Macquarie University, Linköping University and Queen's University Belfast, and an Honorary Research Fellow at Macquarie University. He received his PhD in Electrical Engineering from The University of Newcastle, Australia, in 2021.

Name: Thanh Tung Vu, family name Vu, said "Tan Toong Voo". Most people call me Tung. In citations: Tung T. Vu, T. T. Vu or Tung Thanh Vu.
